Mowgli, the Indian boy, is raised in the jungle by wolves and is befriended by Bagheera the Panther and Baloo the Bear. When the entire animal village is threatened by Shere Kahn, the evil tiger, Mowgli must take desperate steps to help his friends. Filled with excitement and humor, the story highlights the struggle of good versus evil and is interspersed with the intriguing story of young Rudyard Kipling. Sent from his home in Bombay to a British boarding school, Kipling encounters his own jungle, including people both good and bad who parallel many of the animal characters he creates for his stories. With this adaptation of the Kipling story, Theatre Coppell will continue its tradition of staging first-rate family fare that will delight young and old alike.
