Summer Theater Week

In collaboration with Better Than Broadway Productions, the historic Brook Arts Center in Bound Brook NJ is presenting a week of acting, singing, dancing and tons of fun that culminates in a musical production starring your children!


The fun begins July 10 – July 14, 2023.  All children from ages 7 - 16 are encouraged to participate and get to perform on the oldest vaudeville stage in Somerset County. Here's what you need to know!!

  • Participants will perform in a musical called Peter and the Princess and ALL who wish to participate will get roles and lines.

  • Rehearsals are at the Brook Arts Center, 10 Hamilton Street, Bound Brook, NJ– Monday through Thursday - July 10 – July 14, 2023, from 9:00am until 12:00pm. Fun fact: The BAC was listed in the National Register of Historic Places on May 5, 2014. 

  • Two performances will commence on Friday and will be open to the public as well as live streamed.

    • 11:00am will be our first performance.

    • 7:00pm will be our second performance which will also be broadcast.

    • On performance days participants need to come dressed in costume.

      • 9:00am arrival for the morning performance

      • 6:30pm arrival for the evening performance

  • Tuition is $210/child for the week.

  • At promptly 12:00pm on rehearsal days, children must be picked up by a responsible adult or if permitted can walk home.

  • Some costumes will be provided.  Others will need to be found at home but should be easily furnished.  Costume information will come home on via email and also on Monday of our Theater Week. You can also check out the Gallery for The Rotten Princess.

  • Children should bring a small snack and drink each day for rehearsal (no peanut products please).
