Our Mission
At Better Than Broadway Productions, our mission is to make sure that every child is engaged and having fun while learning the basics of performing arts. We strive to provide an environment that is safe and creative, allowing our participants to explore their talents and become better performers. Our team of experienced theater professionals will help the children hone their acting, singing, and dancing skills, as well as teaching them the importance of teamwork and discipline, while creating an indelible experience that they will cherish forever.

Under the guidance of Owner and Artistic Director Michele Mueller, Better Than Broadway Productions has brought live theater to schools and youth programs since 1995. With an extensive professional background spanning Off-Broadway, television, regional theater, and voiceover work, Michele brings high-caliber industry expertise directly into every program. For over 30 years, she has mentored thousands of young performers, inspiring them to build confidence and shine on stage through the signature Theater Week experience.
As a proud alumna of the program, Associate Director Samantha Bruccoliere brings a unique, firsthand perspective to every production she leads. A Rowan University graduate with a degree in Theater Arts and a concentration in Theater Education, Sam has extensive experience performing and directing across New Jersey. Her background with the Walt Disney Company infuses every Theater Week project with an exceptional level of magic, polish, and professional standards that inspire young performers to shine.
Director Christian Carrara blends a dynamic background in New Jersey regional theater with years of experience leading hands-on elementary education programs. Having directed and performed extensively across the state, Christian brings a warm, engaging energy to the stage. This unique blend of performance, direction, and education gives him a natural ability to connect with students, fostering a supportive, high-energy environment where every young performer builds confidence and discovers their spotlight.
Cari Chrisostomou Schonfeld
Director
Director Cari Chrisostomou Schonfeld brings a rich background as a performer, educator, and parent to the team. A Susquehanna University Musical Theatre graduate, she spent over a decade performing nationwide in touring productions, Off-Broadway, and Disney Cruise Line entertainments. After returning to New Jersey to build youth theater programs and teach voice, Cari now channels her extensive background into guiding students, fostering healthy vocal technique, building confidence, and sharing the magic of the performing arts.
We are all passionate about giving kids the opportunity to explore their creative side and show off their talent in front of an audience. It's truly a dream job for all of us.
