Parent Guide to Theater Week

From the first rehearsal to the final curtain call, we ensure your child’s theater experience is unforgettable, educational, and fun! Below is everything you need to know to help your young performer shine.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Rehearsal Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 2 hours per day. Attendance at all rehearsals is mandatory to participate.
What Students Learn: Every child is cast in an original full-scale musical with songs, choreography, and spoken lines.
What to Wear: Comfortable clothing and sneakers required. (No flip-flops, sandals, or high heels for stage safety).
Daily Snack: Please pack an extra peanut-free snack daily for rehearsal breaks.
Friday Showtimes: Students usually perform in two shows on Friday, a daytime school assembly and a 7:00 PM evening performance (shows run 50–60 minutes).
Friday Call Times: Cast arrival is strictly between 6:15 PM and 6:30 PM. Always double-check your school's specific flyer for exact times!

CRITICAL FRIDAY COSTUME REQUIREMENT

If your school is hosting a Friday daytime assembly: Participants must wear their costumes to school on Friday morning.
If your school does NOT have a Friday assembly: Students wear normal school clothes and will have a brief final rehearsal after school.

TIPS FOR A GREAT THEATER WEEK

Embrace the Whirlwind: Putting together a full-scale musical in five days is a thrilling challenge! It is completely normal for your child to feel a mix of nervous excitement early in the week - by Friday, that turns into pure pride.
Practice at Home: Help your performer practice lines or sing along in the car. Confidence comes from repetition!
