Theater Week is very popular and we suggest booking at least a year in advance to garner the greatest availability and accommodate your school's scheduling needs.

What venue specifications or stage space do we need to host Theater Week?

Theater Week has been produced everywhere from a semi professional stage to a gym floor. Whatever space you provide us, we adapt to make it work, given it's a dedicated space for our rehearsals to commence.We do suggest for our evening performance that we use some kind of permanent theater, rented stage, HS auditorium or other venue so that everyone who wants to attend is able.

Are your shows original scripts or junior editions?

Better Than Broadway Productions offers original musical adaptations of famous stories that are specifically adapted for elementary aged children to perform in.

How many students can participate in Theater Week?

Accepted Answer

Our Theater Week productions vary in cast size based on your stage capacity. We've directed groups in upwards of 200+, as with the right facility and volunteer support, anything is possible! Bottom Line: Our minimum is 40. Maximum is your stage capacity!

What is required from the school staff or parent volunteers during Theater Week?

During Theater Week support is crucial, both during rehearsals and for both performances. Organizers can expect to be present at all rehearsals and performances: managing sign ups, attendance, and coordinating volunteers. Volunteers are there as a presence mostly: for unforeseen emergencies, to help with the curtain on show days, to help manage backstage both during rehearsals and during the show. Directors will help guide everyone through the process together, ensuring a fantastic experience for the children and parents alike.

What happens if our school has an early dismissal during our Theater Week?

If your school is scheduled for Theater Week and has one day of Early Dismissal we will work around it and schedule accordingly. We do not recommend Theater Week during a week of early dismissals as it is highly disruptive to the process.

What happens if our school has a snow day during our Theater Week?

Accepted Answer

Snow days are never ideal for anyone's schedule. What we usually do when we lose a rehearsal day to snow is add more time to the existing rehearsal days in hopes of making up for lost time. If we lose a Friday, we will make every effort to reschedule the show into our schedule within a reasonable time frame.If we lose an entire week to snow, we leave all of May open for make ups.

Do we need to supply lighting, sound equipment, or stage sets?

Better Than Broadway Productions directors come fully equipped with our own sound system, scenery, specialty costumes and props. You provide us a space and the cast and together we create the magic! Lighting is subject to the space but it's usually something we can easily navigate or potentially get some assistance with for show days.
